Always Be True to YOU!
Always Be True to YOU!
Hey, welcome to my first blog post! :) It's very exciting to have you here to share this with!
As this is my first post, I felt it appropriate to talk about authenticity; deep down, even if we may not be a hundred percent aware of it, we all know what it is to be authentic, yet not everyone, has the courage to embrace their authentic, beautiful, soulful selves, especially so in the times that we live in.
We are bombarded almost 24/7 with adverts of what beauty should look like, that we need to be slim and toned to be accepted or that we need to have that lavish lifestyle with the fancy car, the house and the designer goods to go with it. Maybe we are 'told' by society that authenticity should also look like we are in the perfect relationship and always be happy, when deep down your soul simply does not feel fulfilled.
For as long as I can remember I have always played the 'good girl', the 'sweet one' or the 'quiet one' and even though these are all part of me, I realised recently that actually some of this was me playing who other people wanted me to be and I was cheating myself out of what made me happy and fulfilled in life. I was playing small to keep other people happy rather than making myself happy.
At this present time we as a collective are going through monumental shifts in our conciousness and lives. The things that use to fulfil us no longer do, only relationship and patterns of how we use to be are falling away so that we can step into who we are. At the same time others are holding in fear of change and whom would rather stay in their ego present world. It is like there is battle going on as to what we are being led to believe is real and to what is actually real!
It is in times like these that we have to do the inner work, take the time for reflect and ask ourselves 'who am I?', 'what do I stand for?', 'what makes my heart sing?' and then go and live that fearlessly with love and acceptance in your heart. It is only when we start to accept who we are and are truly sitting comfortably in our selves, in our heart space that we can experience true joy in our lives. There is no point embarking on a fashionable diet if it makes your miserable and does not sustain you. There is no point wearing clothes just because a magazine told you to or a celebrity you admire is rocking the same thing, yet you feel like a wolf in sheep's clothing. Be true to YOU!
Times are changing and it is now more than ever that we need those who don't feel they 'fit in' to stand out and be proud of who you are.
Shine your Light, your audience is waiting! ;)
